Rowing
The Sound School Competitive Rowing team is open to all students grades 9 - 12. Practices are conducted after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Students learn the basic rowing techniques, on our ergs (rowing machines) and transition to dories; they also learn small boat handling and the basics of navigation. Those who show strong commitment and skill level will row with our extremely competitive varsity rowing team. The Sound School participates in rowing competitions throughout the school year in Hull Mass, and other locations in New England. During the winter season the team conditions themselves on our Concept II Rowing machines and attends indoor competitions held in Connecticut.

All Sound School students may try out for sports teams at the comprehensive high schools, Cross or Hillhouse.
