Water Quality Monitoring and Sediment Chemistry

Description:

Following the guidelines provided in the “Water Quality and Hydrographic Surveys Standard Operating Procedures Manual” of CT DEP, the protocols of Save the Sound’s Water Quality Monitoring Program, those provided in “Water Quality Monitoring _ A Guide for Concerned Citizens” by B. Dexter and R. Harris and the EPA Volunteer Estuary Monitoring: A Methods Manual, the primary investigators and research assistants will carry out the sampling and testing with industry standard equipment and chemical test kits at established sites within the watershed. Assessment of the growth of biofouling organisms in New Haven Harbor will be done in accordance with protocols provided by Adam Fredricks.
